Although Muskegon Rescue Mission deals with statistics daily, we don’t just record numbers on a report; we see the faces of the men, women and children who seek refuge in our shelters. They all have names, dreams and heart-tugging stories to share.

This summer, MRM saw an unprecedented rise in the number of individuals and families needing food and shelter. During May, June, and July 2022, our stats show a dramatic surge, with lodging up 31% and meals served up 42% year-to-date. With the coming season, we expect these numbers to continue to rise.

Our guests may come in looking for a hot meal and a safe place to stay, but they find much more!
