At Muskegon Rescue Mission, we believe that no one should go without a warm meal, especially during Thanksgiving. It is a time for connection, for sharing, and for showing compassion to those who need it most. By coming together, we can relieve the immediate burdens on families in our community and address the deeper needs with spiritual nourishment and support, paving the way for lasting change. How You Can Help This Thanksgiving

Your support can transform the holiday for families right here in Muskegon. We are hosting two key events to ensure our neighbors have everything they need for a hearty Thanksgiving meal, and we invite you to be a part of this incredible effort.

Join Our Annual Turkey Drop – November 19, 2025 | 7 am-7 pm

This year, we are coming together for our annual Turkey Drop on Wednesday, November 19, with the ambitious goal of collecting 900 frozen turkeys. In partnership with Mel Trotter Ministries and Gateway Mission, we are dedicated to providing a traditional Thanksgiving meal for families in need.

There are two simple ways you can contribute:

• Donate a Frozen Turkey: Drop off a frozen turkey at our Men’s Shelter, located at 400 W Laketon Ave, between 7 AM and 7 PM on November 19. Every turkey brings us one step closer to our goal.
• Make a Monetary Gift: If you’re unable to drop off a turkey, a financial donation is just as impactful. Every $25 donated allows us to purchase one turkey, directly helping us provide for a family.

Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway

We are thrilled to host our Annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway, a two-day event where community members can receive a free basket filled with a turkey and all the classic sides for a traditional holiday meal. This event is open to everyone, and no registration is required. Our hope is to offer a helping hand and make the holiday special for all who attend.

Event Details:

• Dates: Monday, November 24 (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) and Tuesday, November 25 (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM).
• Location: MRM Community Resource Center at 1747 7th St Ste B.
