Muskegon Rescue Mission’s residential Discipleship Program is a year-long, comprehensive program designed to help men understand the root causes of their homelessness. The program focuses on rebuilding lives with a solid biblical foundation offering life-long solutions. All aspects of a program participant’s life are addressed – physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social. Individuals in our program participate in Bible study and money management classes and receive spiritual and life skill counseling. Job training, as well as job search assistance, is provided. Every program participant actively attends a church in the community.
After successful completion of the Discipleship Program, family, friends and staff are invited to a graduation ceremony to celebrate with the graduate. Graduates then become part of our After-Care Program where we continue to mentor them as they transition to independent living.
