Impacting the Lives of Homeless Children

You are the reason Muskegon Rescue Mission exists.  We are grateful for the generosity of donors, churches and businesses, who partner with us — supporters who provide for the homeless and hurting in West Michigan.  The impact of your support is seen every day in the lives of men, women, and children we help in our community.

For 113 years, we have been blessed with partners like you, who are willing to serve and by doing so impact thousands of lives.  Your gifts provide hot, nutritious meals, clean warm beds and many other resources.  By partnering with your local mission, you become the hands and feet of Jesus.

In this issue of Harbor Light, you will learn of the impact you have in the lives of children, the silent innocent victims of homelessness. You will read about Stacia, a young girl who lived at the Women’s and Family Shelter with her mother and sister.  Stacia shares her experience about living in a shelter and going to school.  She talks about what her life was like before the shelter while living in the shelter and her dreams for the future.

Stacia’s story gives you a glimpse of the impact your faithful giving makes possible.  Last year you helped provide 121,182 meals; 29,342 nights of lodging; 9,417 childcare hours provided, and made 337 dedications for Christ possible.  Your prayers for the mission guests, along with your gifts, support this life-changing ministry.  Thank you for your partnership and for making an impact in our community.

In His name,

Dan Skoglund
